Brother Knights,

I want to thank all who helped with Council 1344 activities during my twelve years of being a Grand Knight. D. J. Batt will become the new Grand Knight on July 1, 2023, with our main focus on signing up new younger members with family programs to keep the Councils future vibrant.

Your 2023 Super Cash Bonanza Tickets are enclosed and the first turn in deadline is March 25th. Send them to F.S. Steve Schiebert, N144 County Road 14, Napoleon, Oh 43545. The Council gets back about $3.50 on each ticket sold. Anyone selling a minimum of four tickets is entered into a drawing for gas cards.

Our 40 cans for Lent (can/box) food drive during lent starts March 1. Bring items to table in St. Augustine Hall to benefit St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Fish Frys begin Friday, Feb. 25". New helpers are needed on Thurs. at 9:30 am in S.A.H. to thaw fish and Friday help is needed in trailer to fry fish and also a clean up crew.

Our Gals and Girls Dinner will be back this year on April 29 after the 4:30 Mass in the S.A.H. A roasted chicken dinner will be served to the Ladies.

The Spring Casino bus trip to Firekeepers will be Sun. March 26, 2023.

Family of the Year

The Mark and Brenda Piasecki family was named The St. Augustine Family of the Year for 2022 by Council 1344. Brenda (the Fish Nazi) has headed up the parish Fish Frys for the last 15 years. The Piaseckis were awarded a $100.. gift card at Mass Jan. 15 by Council 1344.
