WEEKLY NEWS FOR KNIGHTS AROUND THE WORLD

VOLUME 43 • NUMBER 22 • June 4, 2025

During this month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Church emphasizes in a particular way the sacred ministry of holy orders, as men around the world are ordained to the priesthood. Through the Order’s Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP), Knights are nurturing the call to priesthood across the globe — including in Ukraine, where many seminarians rely on support from the Knights amid the harsh economic realities of war. Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly invites all Knights and their families to join in a special novena for the intentions of Pope Leo XIV — beginning June 19, the 43rd anniversary of the pope’s priestly ordination, and concluding June 27, the solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Sacred Heart Novena for Pope Leo XIV

All Knights, their families and people of goodwill are encouraged to pray a special novena for the intentions of Pope Leo XIV from June 19-27. Visit www.kofc.org/papalnovena to pledge your participation and submit personal intentions, which will be delivered to Rome by Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly during a Jubilee pilgrimage in October. Participants are also urged to pray for the Holy Father’s monthly prayer intention for June: Let us pray that each one of us might find consolation in a personal relationship with Jesus, and from his Heart, learn to have compassion on the world.

In Solidarity With Peter

From the earliest days of his pontificate, Pope Leo XIV has emphasized what it means to be a missionary Church, and the challenges the Church faces when evangelizing in today’s world. In his June 2025 column in Columbia, Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly reflects on the pope’s call to renewal: “How do we respond, as Christians and as a Church? The answer, Pope Leo said, is Jesus Christ — to have a personal relationship with the Lord and a daily commitment to conversion.”
