Welcome to St. Augustine Parish

Service/Community Involvement:
  • Administrative Aides

Volunteers are always needed, whether in the school or church, to help with miscellaneous activities. The activities include, but are not limited to:
    • Counting Money for Special Events
    • Helping in the Office by Assisting with Filing, Typing, Answering Phones
    • Cleaning and Putting Items Away in St. Augustine Hall
    • Bulk Mailings
    • Sacramental Hospitality

  • Funeral Dinner Committee

The Funeral Dinner Committee has been active in the parish for over 25 years. The committee coordinates, prepares and services a funeral dinner for the families and friends of the deceased following the funeral service. This allows the family and friends of the deceased to share a time of reflection after the funeral service. The funeral dinner menu usually consists of ham, potatoes, gravy, salad, green beans, deviled eggs, rolls, bread, coffee, tea, milk and lemonade. Parish members are called to assist in preparing/providing a dessert item.

  • Knights of Columbus

The objective of the Knights of Columbus is to call Catholic men together to help remain steadfast in their faith through mutual encouragement and shared faith experiences. The programs promoted by the council are directed to church, family, and community. If you are interested in being present and attentive to the social and spiritual needs of others, we invite you to explore the possibility of becoming a Knights of Columbus member.

  • Tellers

Individuals and teams are needed to count and deposit our Sunday collections. This is done on Monday mornings. Envelopes are opened by the team, amounts recorded on the envelopes and funds deposited. Recording of the envelopes is done by a volunteer later in the week.

  • St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Augustine Conference, was founded in 1957. Through the years, we have provided for the needs of the less fortunate in Henry County.
